Internet censorship in Australia? No way, sorry but the idea is flawed Mr Rudd. Censorship is a scary concept and is not workable on more than one level. Don't think about the starting point with this policy, think about where it might lead us in the future. Imagine having your personal blog added to the blacklist because you made a negative comment on government policy. Australia needs less government in our lives not more. As far as protecting our children I'm sorry but that responsibility must fall back on the parents, parents should know what their kids are looking at on the internet and the TV and their mobile phones for that matter.
Here Here so many bad parents out there.Look at that poor toddler in the hot car while the Mother(and I use that word losely) shops. Mean while other people suffer. Censorship of parenthood is the way to go not censorship of media with the exception of kiddy porn which is evil and criminal.
Evil is a good word for the dirty dogs that get involved in any form of KP, censoring the internet in Australia is not the solution however. They need to get serious about catching the people resposible and using the net to track them down. Shut down their servers etc etc.. I'm sure it won't take long to crack any filters that may be put in place, people who want that stuff will find a way to accesss it. This is about control and an egomaniac PM trying to make history every chance he gets.
