Serena Williaims has been fined $175,000 USD for her colorfull outburst at the US Tennis open this year. Half of the fine is to be payed up front and the other half is part of her probation of 24 months suspended whatever that means? If she screws up again she does get banned from next years US open at least..
Anyway considering she won about 6 million over the last 12 months and about 28 million in prize money its no big deal for her to write the check. Perhaps they could have come up with something a little more creative rather than a fine, these high profile highly paid sports people don't even flinch when they can get paid larger sums than that just for turning up at a party..
